Seasonal  Depression

Seasonal Depression also known as Seasonal Affective Disorder (SAD), is most common during the winter months when the days are darker. This is believed to be linked to lessening of sunlight leading to some people becoming sad. Most sufferers of SAD see their mood lighten and they become happier as spring arrives.

Depression can be seasonal just like the other illnesses. With the lapse of time the symptoms of depression also fade away. Seasonal depression is specially seen in the winters in countries like the UK. The cloudy, chilly, dark and windy weather continues for days together. This kind of weather proves to be very depressing even to the people who are not exactly depressed.
